Project eXcellence Awards

Many great projects are completed everyday that contribute significantly to the growth and future success of their organization; however, many of these projects go without notice or recognition.  RFP Connexion™ has instituted the Project eXcellence Award to recognize those projects and individuals that have made a positive contribution to their organization and to also recognize the Solution Provider(s) (SP’s) that helped to deliver the project successfully.  This award program is intended to first and foremost spotlight the great work and projects being conducted by the registered users of RFP Connexion™.  The program will also, however, complement the Project of the Year award program sponsored by the Project Management Institute (PMI®).  Information on their award program can be found at http://www.pmi.org/info/AP_ProjectOfYearAward.asp.  Finalist of the Project eXcellence Award will be endorsed by RFP Connexion™ and encouraged to participate and submit their projects for consideration with PMI®.

Eligibility

In order for a project to be eligible for consideration of the Project eXcellence Award, the Business Client (BC) must use RFP Connexion™ for the complete procurement process.  This includes posting the RFP on the site and selecting a Solution Provider (SP) that is a registered subscriber, in good standing, with RFP Connexion™.  Projects which are completed by vendors, who are not a registered subscriber with RFP Connexion™, will not be eligible or considered for the award.  Projects may be of any size and submitted from any industry, organization, or geographical location.  All projects must be completed and formally accepted, in writing, by the Business Client at the time the project is nominated for consideration.

o       Was the project completed within, or under, budget?

o       Was the project completed on, or ahead of, schedule?

o       Describe the variance between the original project budget and the final completed cost

o       Describe the variance between the original scheduled project completion date and the final project completion date

o       Describe the complexity of the project, including any unusual conditions or requirements that required special actions or performance
